Dr. Michael Zimbric is a neurologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and a clinical professor at UC San Diego.
Dr. Zimbric earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison School of Medicine before completing a pediatric internship and residency as well as a pediatric neurology residency at UC San Diego. He then joined Rady Children's as a staff physician in 2009.
Dr. Zimbric is a member of the Child Neurology Society. In 2008, he co-authored a chapter in a textbook with Dr. Joseph Gleeson. He also worked with Dr. Mark Nespeca on a scholarly article evaluating a specific electroencephalogram montage for the direction and quantification of neonatal seizures. He has been involved in the development of clinical pathways for common conditions such as headaches, tics, and syncope. He assumed the role of interim division chief in November of 2024.
Dr. Zimbric is active in medical student and resident education and is part of the UCSD Neurosciences Master Clinician program.
Dr. Zimbric sees patients with general neurological conditions, including concussion, headache, epilepsy, tics and developmental delays.
