Dr. Melissa Cameron is a pediatric hospitalist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and a Clinical Professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine.
Dr. Cameron received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Haverford College. She went on to earn her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She also completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York (Columbia Presbyterian).
Her clinical and research interests include simulator-based training and parental participation in healthcare decisions.
When not working, Dr. Cameron enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young girls exploring San Diego.
