Bio

Dr. Kristin Marie Williams, FACOG, is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at the San Diego Perinatal Center, the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division of Rady Children's Specialists of San Diego.

Born in the Midwest and raised in Texas, she earned her medical degree at MCP-Hahnemann University, completed her internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Tufts University, completed her residency in ob/gyn at Stanford University and completed her fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Stanford.

Her clinical expertise and interests are prenatal diagnosis and procedures (nuchal translucency, nasal bone, first trimester early anatomy scan, detailed anatomy scan, fetal echocardiogram; amniocentesis, fetal reduction and percutaneous umbilical cord sampling/transfusion) and perinatal consultation and co-management (multiple gestations, prior preterm delivery, cervical insufficiency with both prophylactic and rescue cerclage, advanced maternal age, IVF pregnancies, recurrent pregnancy loss, thrombophilias, intrauterine).

Her professional affiliations include the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and Nuchal Translucency Quality Review.

Dr. Williams and her husband (who is British) have a young daughter, Faith, who is here because of the wonderful doctors, ultrasonographers and nurses who cared for her during a very complicated pregnancy. They are delighted to have the opportunity to live and work in beautiful San Diego.

Dr. Williams is looking forward to getting to know the local medical community and taking excellent care of high-risk obstetrical patients.
