Tatyana Vayngortin, M.D.

Bio

Dr. Tatyana (Tanya) Vayngortin is a physician in the Emergency Medicine Division at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UC San Diego. Dr. Vayngortin completed her pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and was part of an advocacy track. She completed her PEM fellowship at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and San Francisco. Dr. Vayngortin is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine.

Dr. Vayngortin's research and clinical interests focus on adolescent reproductive and behavioral health. She is involved in quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring pre-med, medical students, and residents. She also completed the Physicians for Reproductive Health Leadership Training Academy, a yearlong advocacy fellowship.

Outside of the emergency department, Dr. Vayngortin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, visiting all the beautiful San Diego beaches, hiking, yoga, and travel.
