Some of these ways to manage your child’s pain may actually work better and have fewer risks and side effects.
- Acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
- Distraction (arts/crafts, walking, games)
- Warm blanket; ice packs and/or warm packs
- Changing position
- Massage
- Healing touch
- Acupuncture
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
