List all antifungal agents patient is receiving. 1.2-0.5 mL Serum collected in a (red-top) tube, plasma collected in an EDTA (lavender-top) or sodium heparin (green-top) or 3.2% sodium citrate (light blue-top) tube; 0.8 mL CSF or 0.5 mL Bronchial lavage/wash (BAL) in a sterile screw cap container is also acceptable.

Comments

IInterfering substances and cross-reactivities include sodium hydroxide and sputolysin. Cross-reactivity occurs between blastomycosis and histoplasmosis and in paracoccidioidomycosis, penicillosis, coccidioidomycosis, aspergillosis and sporotrichosis.
