A “Report to the Community” is published every three years to help focus our efforts on the most common injuries according to age and development. Programs are developed to address these concerns, and information is posted on this website when emerging trends are evident.
Our advocacy and education appear to be having a positive effect in our region. From 2000 to 2016, fatalities due to unintentional injuries dropped from 6.1 per 100,000 to 2.7 per 100,000.
